A delegation
that included the Chief Executive of Gas Group, the Senior Technical Advisor,
Personal Assistant to Chief Executive, Liaison Manager and a Turkish Electric
Engineer had visited Mazar-e-Sharif storage facility on Saturday.
During the
visit a meeting was held with the construction contractor for the Mazar-e-Sharif
storage building and it was agreed that the construction work must be completed
by the start of the holy month of Ramazan. On the other hand, a team of 5
Turkish engineers will arrive in Mazar-e-Sharif on next Saturday to start
working on technical portion of Mazar-e-Sharif storage, so hopefully we will be
able to start our services in Mazar-e-Sharif before Eidul Fitr which is in mid
October.
In the second
part of the visit, the delegation went to the Hairatan storage facilities, which
was recently purchased. The storage had built with the modern automatic
technology and it has a capacity of 350 metric tons. It has the facility of two
railway platforms, one the general platform and the other is specified just for
our storage, so we have the ability to off load 8 wagons at one time to reduce
the wastage of time during off loading the wagons. The Hairatan storage
facilities will be used as a stock for the LPG coming form Central Asia. As a
result, another LPG stock is added in the border for Gas Group Company which
increases our sources inside the country. The delegation returned back to Kabul
on Sunday.
Gas Group
continuous its expansion through out the country.
